The experience I have will enable me to be open and honest about the very delicate balance between the science and art of childbirth and how you navigate the whole wonderful process of pregnancy.
(Please see the About page for more information on my background and qualifications)
I’m a firm believer in the miracle of birth, how amazing our bodies are and what we can achieve when we have the right mental attitude.
Most prospective parents will find that having some way to reduce tension or worries is very useful, whether it’s meditation, yoga, silent counselling or guided meditation I’m happy to support all family dynamics and individual lifestyle choices.
(If you’ve not heard of the therapies or wondered what they might actually be, then take a look the Glossary page)

If required I can be on call as an additional or stand alone birth partner at home or another birth setting offering support.
If you and baby have been discharged any time after 34 weeks (with a neonatal outreach package) then I can offer additional wellbeing visits to help until your confidence builds sufficiently.
Wellbeing breaks and overnight stays for tired mother's who need rest knowing their new baby is in capable hands
Caring for mother and baby
However you choose to feed your baby I can offer practical support
Advice of routines, baby massage, bathing, winding etc
It's possible that new fathers and siblings may feel overwhelmed , a little isolated, or so busy working that they are unable to offer the support they'd like to provide.
I'm able to guide them towards practical solutions to many of their worries.
Silent Counselling enables you to release negative emotions without the need to talk about previous trauma, which may or may not be related to a birth experience
Tiredness and the transition to new motherhood can be challenging, guided meditation and practical support can help to prevent postnatal depression
I have links with a yoga teacher, based in the Truro, Threemilestone, Chacewater area who can offer individual and guided meditation classes if there is an interest.
I've found a fantastic photographer in Newborn and Child Photographer Zoe Green. Several of her images have been used across this site. Zoe is extremely flexible despite juggling the needs of 4 children. She has the experience and vision to take truly memorable photographs.
I am able to offer Reiki therapy if you would like to try it. It can be very relaxing, tailored to individual wishes - and can be done fully clothed.
I also offer end of life care services.
The Services I offer are support and guidance, at no point do they (or should they) replace the professional medical care which will be offered to you from your own GP, midwife or consultant.
The support I offer is based on my 20 years as a registered midwife: with the vast range of experience gained in that time I am ideally placed to support and help you, however, the service I am providing is a doula style supportive and empowering role not as a health care professional.
